This sermon is an introduction to the New Testament book called Acts (of the Apostles) and is the first in a series of messages laying out the Biblical principles of what a church is and what it must do and how it is structured.

The ten part series will cover:

3) The Spread of the church
4) How is it the church is to Grow
5) The Organization, the Structure of the church

What is The Book of Acts teach us?

1) God uses people;
--- the church is not an institution, not a building, the church is people;

2) God is sovereign;
--- God will build His church;
--- His call remains effectual;
--- church is expected to suffer;
--- God is sovereign over the growth of church.

We need The Book of Acts to teach us:

A) Who we are?
B) What it is we got to do?
C) How to do it?
