I. The enjoinment of what is good in life is only possible in God

1) There is no joy in pleasure (2:1-11)

Solomon looked for pleasure in:
---- a. cheer v.1-3
---- b. possession v.4-7
---- c. entertainment v.8-11

2) There is no joy in wisdom (2:12-17)

3) There is no joy in work (2:18-23)

Man is prewired to seek his own happiness.
But there is no joy apart from God. Only in God man could find wisdom, knowledge and joy (2:26)
