Job Posting: Facility Maintenance Position

The Facility Maintenance job is a contract position open to any member who is physically capable and personally available to set up, tear down and perform cleaning duties surrounding the public meetings of Grace Fellowship Church. 

Responsibilities

Saturday Night (~2.5 hours)

Set up gyms, atrium, hallways, classrooms, and restrooms for Sunday morning. 

Sunday Afternoon (~1 hour)

Tear down and clean up main gym, set up classrooms and lower gym for Sunday evening. 

Sunday Evening (~2.5 hours)

Tear down and clean up gyms, atrium, hallways, classrooms, and restrooms. Sweep and mop floors. Ensure everything is ready for school purposes on Monday. 

Wednesday Set Up (~30 mins)

Prepare rooms for meetings. 

Wednesday Tear Down (~30 mins)

Tear down and clean up rooms. Ensure everything is ready for school purposes on Thursday.

Reporting 

This position reports directly to Pastor Paul Martin or the other staff pastors in his absence. 

General Hours of Work 

The contract worker is expected to work with the other custodian and share the  responsibilities. The set up may begin on Saturdays at 6PM (or earlier if approved by the school) and tear down can begin at 12PM on Sunday mornings, and immediately after the evening service. We acknowledge that some weeks, there will be less work to do (such as a week of school closure when the gym can be left set up) and other weeks there will be more to do (such as when the school janitor has missed something in their cleaning). 

Remuneration 

This is a contract position with an hourly wage of $20 per hour, paid by the hour, inclusive of all taxes, and paid at the end of each month via e-transfer. Total hours of the month must be submitted to Allie Martin. Note, this is not an official church staff position, therefore, does not include other benefits.  

Duration of Contract

The contract for this position will begin Monday, May 22, 2023.  The Senior Pastor reserves the right to terminate your employment for just cause at any time. You may also terminate your employment with the church at any time. In both cases, a minimum of two weeks notice must be given.
