1. Just because you talk about God does not mean you know Him (17:1-6)

2. Just because you do religious things does not make them right (17:7-13)

3. Just because you join with other wrong people does not make you all right (18:1-6)

4. Just because events seem to go your way does not mean God approves of your actions (18:7-10)

5. Just because that wolf loves you today does not mean he will not bite you tomorrow (18:11-20)

6. Just because you thought your idols would bless you, they never will (18:21-26) 

7. Just because you get what you want in life doesn’t mean God has answered your prayers (18:27-31)
