As a church, we have identified five core values from the Scriptures that we would love to have characterize our people and our ministries. We see these as five key areas in which the Bible clashes with culture, and thus areas where we can be ‘salt and light.’
Truth. God’s word is truth and it is the basis for all we do. Our desire is to have every ministry and every activity subject to the word of God.
Humility. Humility is the only right response to God’s Word. God the Son modelled humility and God the Father is pleased to bless it.
Authority. We believe both authority and submission are good, right, and pleasing to God. Authority and submission are modelled in the Trinity and should be lived joyfully both in the church and in the home.
Freedom. In Christ we are freed from condemnation and from our sinful passions to walk freely by the Spirit. We celebrate freedom of conscience on all secondary matters, seeking by the Spirit of God to avoid both legalism and licentiousness.
Delight in God. Our motto is ‘Delighting in God to the glory of God, for the good of all people.’ We gladly recount with the Psalmist, ‘Whom have I in heaven but you?’
