Welcome the Weak: the Stairway to Real Unity

Step One: You must acknowledge that you are part of one body (12–13).

Step Two: You must acknowledge that God decides who makes up the body (18, 24).

Step Three: You must agree that the body needs weak members (15–16).

Step Four: You must believe that to be a body, there must be diversity (17–20).

Step Five: You have to preach that, in the church, nobody can declare anybody, “dispensable” (21).

Step Six: You have to believe that in the church, the people who appear “most dispensable,” are actually the “most indispensable” (22).

Step Seven: You must help the “less honourable” members of our church to be honoured (23a).

Step Eight: You must commit to treating the “unpresentable” Christians in our church with modesty (23b).

Step Nine: You must be discontent until the weakest members of this church contribute to and serve the other members (24-26).
