Just and the Justifier

 1. The sins of every justified person actually were punished fully — on the cross of Jesus Christ.

     a. Redemption — set free from slavery to sin by another paying your ransom

     b. Propitiation — set free from the wrath of God by another taking it in your place

2. Because the sins of His people received the full punishment they deserved (on Jesus Christ), God proved He was and is truly righteous.
