The Chronicler’s main point: Seek the Lord wholeheartedly.

1. Four marks of someone who is wholeheartedly seeking the Lord:

a. Joy, care, and promotion of proper corporate worship amongst God’s people. (Hezekiah)

b. Comprehensive obedience to the Word. (Josiah)

c. Humble repentance. (Manasseh)

d. Prayerful reliance on the Lord. (Jehoshaphat)

2. A belief about God that grounds these four marks: God’s promises never fail.

Conclusion: A commission for the wholehearted God-seeker (36:22-23).
