The Menu and the Invitation
1. We eat bread at the Supper.
a. Bread, not Pringles (Matthew 26:26).
b. Broken bread, not broken bones (1 Corinthians 11:24).
2. We drink wine at the Supper (Numbers 6:2–4, Deuteronomy 14:24–26, Proverbs 23:20–21, Psalm 104:14–15, Ephesians 5:18, Mark 14:25, Isaiah 25:6).
a. Possible objections:
i. To love the weaker brother.
ii. To love the alcoholics.
3. We eat and drink with our fellow members (and some guests) at the Supper.
a. The members of this church (1 Corinthians 11:29).
b. The members of certain other churches (Acts 20:5-7).
