The Lord’s Supper, Part One

1. The Lord’s Supper is rooted in the story of God’s redemption of his people, in particular at Passover (Exodus 12, Mark 14).

2. The Lord’s Supper is the local church’s family meal (1 Corinthians 10, 11).

     a. The problems in Corinth.
          i. They were treating the meal like it was magical.
          ii. They allowed their selfish individualism to make the meal divide rather than unite.

     b. The answer to the problems.
