Right Teaching, True Godliness

1. Abstain from false godliness by avoiding false teaching (4:1-5)
a. False teaching has its roots in Satan and his minions
b. False teaching is married to false living
c. God is good: Abstain from asceticism with thanksgiving!

2. Pursue true godliness by believing right teaching (4:6-10)
a. Right teaching must be the source of godliness
b. A trustworthy saying: There is true life in true godliness
c. Strive for godliness because of the finished work of the Gospel

3. Real teachers must live true godliness (4:11-16)
a. Leaders are commanded to teach these things
b. Leaders are commanded to set an example
