GFC is a singing church!  We love to praise our God and bring Him glory in every area of our lives, and one way in which we do this is in song.  Our so-called "style" of worship is grounded in our understanding of what the Bible has to say on the matter.  It may be a surprise to you to that not all Christians agree about this.  It is a difficult subject in some respects and one we always want to keep growing in our understanding.

All of this study on how it is God desires to be praised has led us to a unique way of singing.  We know it is unique only by the comments we receive from folks that visit us on a Sunday or Wednesday.  In other words, we didn't go out of our way to be "cutting edge" or "avant garde!"  We simply long to worship our Saviour in all the ways He has instructed us to do so - and one of those ways is singing.

Since a number of Christians have asked us to describe our singing in more specific terms, we have added a paper by Pastor Martin on the principles of worship and we have provided a listing of some of the songs we love the most.  The list is not exhaustive, in fact, it is regularly changing... but we have tried to include here some of the songs that others may not have come across yet.  Not so we can say, "Sing like us!" but so we can share some of the great hymns, songs and spiritual songs of the past and present that you may never have read or sung.

We have divided the list into two parts - classic favorites, and new hymns and praise songs written by Pastor Paul Martin.
