Children Must Seek to Heed a Parent's Instruction

Proverbs 13:1 "A wise son hears his father's instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke."

Proverbs 17:25 "A foolish son is a grief to his father and bitterness to her who bore him."

Proverbs 19:20, 25, 27 "Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. / Strike a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence; reprove a man of understanding, and he will gain knowledge. / Cease to hear instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge."
