A word about how to interpret this schedule!  A new verse is given out each Sunday to memorize that week.  This is what the phrase "For the week of _______" means.  We will try to have the verse memorized for Wednesday night services. GraceKids and GraceLife.  At the very least, we will practice the verse together that night. 

Our goal is to have it fully memorized by the following Sunday.  That is why every verse has two due dates!  The first date is the Wednesday night and the second date is the following Sunday. 

In the first example, the verses to memorize (John 1:1-3) will be given out on Sunday September 21^st - to be worked on that entire week.  We will try to have them memorized by Wednesday, September 24^th (GraceKids / GraceLife) and will definitely have them down by the following Sunday - September 28^th (which, incidentally, is when the next verse to memorize will be given out!).

For the week of September 21^st / Due September 24^th / 28^th 

John 1:1-3

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

For the week of September 28^th / Due October 1^st / 5^th

John 4:23-24

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth

For the week of October 5^th / Due October 8^th / 12^th

John 5:28-29

Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

For the week of October 12^th / Due October 15^th / 19^th

John 6:44

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

For the week of October 19^th  / Due October 22^nd / 26^th

John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
